What is a Micronation?

Apart from a few serious secessionist movements, most micronations are essentially nation-state simulations, with varying degrees of seriousness. Unlike role-playing games, a micronation can have real people who compete for fame, fortune and power, and engage in lively debate and entertainment. Many micronations incorporate popular sports and economic simulations.

Altogether, a micronation is an ideal environment for those who are interested in politics and communities to experiment with and experience different types of government, and to meet a diverse range of interesting people. It’s a whole world unto itself…

  1. DECLARATION of the RECONSTITUTION of the
    IMPERIUM ROMANORUM

    1. The Senatus Popolusque Romanus, being assembled in what remains of the Roman Forum in Rome Italy on this 28th day of October, 2743 A.U.C., declare the reconstitution of the Imperium Romanorum.

    2. All sovereign power and authority within the territories of the Imperium Romanorum is hereby declared to reside entirely and exclusively in the Imperator Populi Romani and the Senatus Popolusque Romanus in their collective capacity, who also declare that they will not permit any legislative authority separate from themselves in their collective capacity to exist, nor any function of government to be exercised within the said territories, unless by persons appointed by them, and acting under the authority of laws regularly enacted by them in Congress assembled.

    3. The Senatus Popolusque Romanus agree to meet, for the purpose of framing laws for the dispensation of justice, the preservation of peace and good order, and the regulation of trade.

    4. We also agree to send a copy of this Declaration to the Secretary General of the United Nations, for the acknowledgement of our flag.

    Agreed to unanimously on this 28th day of October, 2743 A.U.C.
